Rite Aid on Stone Ave becoming Sav-a-Lot.
As a result of the recent incident involving a man harrassing neighbors at their homes, we have asked Courtney Palmer, Greenville’s Crime Prevention Specialist, to meet with us. Courtney will be at the Main Street Soda Shop at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, 6/23.
At first, the BZA didn’t have enough members for a quorum. The room was packed and there was an overflow crowd sent to another floor for video viewing. City staff tried calling, desperate for at least one more BZA member to arrive.
What started off with tales of down-and-out circumstances, and led to sympathetic offers of cash and odd jobs, has left some Greenville neighbors feeling regretful.
It’s too bad that our zoning hearings were not part of a reality TV series. We would have a season finale coming up.
