Touch-a-Truck Starts on June 1

Children have the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat at the annual Penske Touch-A-Truck day set for June 1 from 8 a.m. to Noon. During the event, children can climb on, learn about and discover their favorite big trucks and vehicles on display at the TD Saturday Market.

The free event will feature 20 different vehicles, including large trucks and heavy equipment from the City of Greenville Police, Fire, Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments and other various commercial company vehicles.

While the children are playing at the event, adults are invited to stroll through the market. Along with providing fresh produce each week, the market offers free interactive activities in the Lowes Foods Front Porch, including live acoustic music, culinary demonstrations by local chefs and farmers and Spuds & Sprouts presented by Prisma Health. The area also features Booth with a Cause for nonprofits and a Youth Booth, which provides young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to showcase and sell their work to market shoppers.

Recognized as a Top 20 Event in the Southeast, the TD Saturday Market presented by Prisma Health is open Saturdays, May 4 through October 26 (excluding October 12), from 8 a.m. to Noon on Main Street at McBee Avenue. Additional market special events include the Autumn Harvest on October 26 and Holiday Market on December 14. Market shoppers can park for free from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the lot next to Grill Marks courtesy of Soby’s.
