One of our members reports their entire trash bin was stolen today. She came home from work around noon, it was still in the alley un-emptied. She brought the recycle bins in, went out around 4pm to pull the trash bin in and it was gone. All of her neighbors trash cans were emptied and in the alley. She called Greenville Cares, informed them what happened and they said she was the second person today that had called about a stolen trash bin. She lives on North Main and there is an alley behind their home…they are in between the Avondale’s.
While this is the first time I can remember an entire trash bin being taken…we don’t know if it was full or empty. Why someone would steal an empty one is beyond me when the city provides them. Again, a word to the wise, don’t put anything personal in the trash. Shred it or save it for a shredding event.
