What:  Feline Freedom Adult Cat Weekend at Animal Care Services (ACS)

WhereGreenville County Animal Care, 328 Furman Hall Rd., Greenville

When:  Friday and Saturday, May 24 & May 25

Hours:  Friday (12noon – 7pm) and Saturday (11am – 6pm)

Animal Care Services has a cat overload, and this weekend our animal loving community can save the life of an adult cat for FREE!  On May 24th and 25th the standard adoption fees for adult cats (6 months and older) will be waived in celebration of this event.

“We had a free cat adoption weekend last year and the community saved more than 100 cats in just two days!” says Shelly Simmons, Animal Care Division Manager.  “Not having to pay an adoption fee allowed people to afford the other necessary care and supplies for their new pet, such as flea prevention, a litter box, and toys, which we have available at Animal Care and at very good prices.”

Often people find cats on the side of the road or get them from “free to good home” ads.  What they don’t realize is the substantial cost of getting their cat its shots and spayed.  Animal Care is happy to be able to offer a Feline Freedom Weekend again to save cats and help our pet loving community at the same time.  All adopted cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS, vaccinated, and ready for their new homes.
