Distracted Driving Ordinance

REMINDER:  The New City of Greenville Distracted Driving Ordinance (Hand-held Cell Phone Ban) is in effect as of April 1, 2014. 

The proposed ban includes a graduated penalty system.  A first offense would carry a maximum penalty of $100; a second offense would carry a maximum penalty of $200; and a third offense would carry a maximum penalty of $300 and the potential for the court to seize the offender’s device.

    I agree with this law , the law i rather see enforced is ticketing of some of the speeders on north main , this is absolutely ridiculous the speed these cars travel up and down this road . I know wishful thinking . Also I like to mention that North main street , the show case road of downtown Greenville is in worse shape than allot of side roads in southern Greenville county , how does this happen?
