This has not been a good week for North Main in terms of crime. In addition to the stolen car 3 days ago, at least 2 cars/garages were broken into this morning on W. Hillcrest, one as late as 6 am. There have also been reported break-ins and/or sightings of the same individuals on Ashley, Hindman and W. Avondale. Please be extra vigilant. Make sure your cars are locked and no valuables are left inside. The car theft was likely a key fob relay theft. We posted about that earlier and what you can do.
We have requested extra night time patrols for our neighborhood for the next 2 weeks, hoping this will help deter incidents in the immediate future.
