From Greenville Police: At approximately 10:30 last night, we received a call from someone requesting a welfare check at 2 Garraux St. Officers, along with Greenville County EMS responded to the scene and confirmed that there was a deceased white male laying on the floor inside the house.
The initial findings indicate that the victim appears to have suffered some type of trauma to his body. Greenville Police detectives have been assigned and are leading this active investigation. We will continue to work with Greenville County Forensics and the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The scene has been processed by forensics and an autopsy was performed today. The Coroner’s Office will be releasing the name and cause of death later today after the findings are revealed to the family.
As with any suspicious death, detectives will be working to find any potential witnesses and completing a canvas of the neighborhood. There is no reason to believe that there is danger to the public as a result of this death investigation.
