There’s Lots to do This Weekend!

Friday, April 25Stone Academy’s Arts Alive.  3:30pm – 7pm.  Stone Academy, Croft Street and Croft Park.  Silent Auction, games, rides and live music as usual. More music this year that in the past… all Stone parents including Darby Wilcox, Larry and Katie and a Rolling Stones Tribute band made up of neighborhood dads and a mom!!

Friday and Saturday, April 25 & 26Greenville Council of Garden Clubs 2014 Spring Garden Tour.  Six of the beautiful gardens are located in Greenville’s Historic North Main area, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the City, founded in 1813 as a business site and later as residential.  If you have not purchased tickets, they are available at several local vendors for $18 or can be purchased at the Tour Stops for $20.  For more information about tour gardens, food, sponsors, etc. please visit http://kilgore-lewis.org/upcoming-events/

Saturday, April 26 – SC Upstate Native Plant Society’s Spring Plant Sale.  9am-1pm at University Center on the corner of South Pleasantburg Blvd. and Antrim Drive in Greenville. The sale will feature a great selection of plants that provide habitat, nectar and food for our native wildlife. This is a great way to help the wildlife that call South Carolina home and help make our state a beautiful place to live.

Saturday, April 26 – North Main Yard Sale.  Northgate Soda Shop from 7am – 2pm.  Free space…bring your own table and change, bags, etc.  Please be there and be set up by 7 to get a good spot.  If you get there early, you can unload and then please park on the street.  What doesn’t sell is donated to Safe Harbor.

Saturday, April 26Greenville County Animal Care Services on Furman Hall Road.  A yard sale/bake sale will be held Saturday at the Greenville shelter, located at 328 Furman Hall Road between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. An early bird option is available to only $5, which will allow attendees to view items between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the shelter which has an intake of around 20,000 unwanted dogs and cats each year.  This is a cash only event.

Saturday, April 26March of Dimes March for Babies.  8am – 12pm.  Greenville Technical College. Walk begins at 9am.  

Saturday, April 26 Project Host BBQ Cook Off and Festival. 10am – 10pm.  East Broad St. and parking lots adjacent.  BBQ cookoff and festival with entertainment and food.
