Reminders about Golf Carts from the Greenville Police Department via WYFF

  • The golf cart must be insured, permitted and registered with SCDMV using this link.
  • Once the golf cart permit and registration document have been issued, you must place the permit decal on the golf cart and carry the registration document in the golf cart at all times.
  • The golf cart must remain within four miles of an address listed on the SCDMV permit.
  • It can only be driven on a secondary highway or street with a posted speed limit of 35 miles an hour or less.
  • The golf cart may be operated during daylight hours only.
  • The driver must be at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license.

A note on Fireworks and Noise

Greenville County allows fireworks until 1 AM going into July 5.  Noise in excess of 60 decibels is not permitted between 10 PM and 7 AM on most other days of the year.  Link to Noise Ordinance

    Hi, thank you for sending this! You list Daylily and Hosta Gardens as a sponsor but I thought they closed down for good this year? Wish they hadn’t. Awesome place to get plants!
