The City Doesn’t Want Your Pumpkins, but the Animals at Izzie’s Pond Do!!
As we get ready to decorate for Halloween, which almost always includes pumpkins, please heed the following note from the City’s Solid Waste & Recycling Division: pumpkins can clog up and damage the vacuum trucks, so please put them in the garbage, not in your yard waste pile.
Or even better, if they are uncarved and unpainted, drop them off at 128 Buist Avenue and they’ll be taken to Izzie’s Pond where the animals love them!! It’s a win win! Remember, only uncarved or unpainted.
