SCDOT is scheduled to begin a paving project on Stone Avenue between Rutherford Street and Bennett Street this Sunday, April 25. The work will take place at night and lane closures will be required. The project is expected to take at least a month to complete. Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when traveling in the vicinity and to watch for flagmen and other construction personnel and equipment. The work will be done by Sloan Construction for SCDOT, and from what I understand, night work typically occurs between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
