This week has been a big one! Our new traffic signal poles have arrived!! While that may not seem like much, they were the final puzzle piece!! With their arrival, you will starting seeing the installation. The vertical poles will be installed during the day. The last foundations (at Stone and Column St) and the mast arms will go in overnight. This whole process will take a few weeks to complete.
We are also working on installing the final street signage starting tomorrow. We are also watching the weather for days that we can replace some pavement and start the final striping process, so please watch for unexpected lane shifts.
We are anticipating completion by 2/1/2018 (or just 6 short weeks!!).
The last bit of news is that with the roadways nearing completion, Yeargan Potter Smith with Fontaine Construction will be starting to work on the site!! They are “mobilizing” now and you will start to see more activity very soon!!
