Reminder: North Main Community Blood Drive. Monday, May 16 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Soda Shop. Spread the word! All blood types are needed, especially O- and B-! Anyone who is in good health, is at least 17 years old (16 years old with written parental consent), and weighs at least 110 pounds may donate blood every 56 days. New Event: Community Yard Sale: It’s ‘spring cleaning time’! Some in the community have requested a community wide ‘yard sale’, so the folks at the Northgate Soda Shop are going to give it a try by offering the use of their back parking lot on Saturday, May 28, from 8 am to 1 pm. Bring your table and any items you would like to sell. This is a good opportunity to join with neighbors if you don’t have enough for your own sale. If you do not want your items back, then what is not sold at the end of the sale will be donated to the Alabama relief effort. If you have specific items you wish to donate to the relief effort, feel free to bring those, label them as such and Iris will make sure they go with the next trip down.
