May 4 – Musical MAYhem. An amazing night of Musical MAYhem presented by NMCA member Gateway House. Bid on original art by Cham Little, and enjoy food and drink from the Handlebar kitchen and bar. The first of four bands starts at 7 pm, and tickets are on sale now…$20 in advance and $25 at the door. All Proceeds Will Benefit Gateway House.
May 4 – Shredding Event. 10am-2pm. TD Convention Center. Businesses and individuals are welcome. All paper MUST be bagged or boxed and each person is limited to three large trash bags or three small boxes of paper. Bags and boxes must be intact, with no rips or tears. Reusable bags, boxes or containers will be returned to you. 864.467.8300.
May 5 – Electronics Recycling Day. 10am – 2pm. Public Works Division. 360 Hudson St. Free to City residents and businesses, the following items are accepted: computer monitors, keyboards, mice, CPUs, etc. (all things that plug into a computer), fluorescent bulbs, tubes, ballasts, etc. 864.467.8300.
May 5 – Reedy River Duck Derby. 10am – 4pm. Falls Park on the Reedy River. 501 S. Main Street. Fund-raiser of Rotary Club of Greenville Evening for children’s organizations, featuring Mauldin Miracle League ballgame,stage & interactive entertainment, fun activities, artist booths, great food and the exciting rubber duck race over the falls, with prizes for duck adopters. Grand prize is groceries for a year from Publix. 864-527-0425.
May 5 – TD Saturday Market Opens for the Season. The Booth for a Cause on opening day is the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
