As most of you know, the “Baby BiLo” as it was known, is no longer. There has been a lot of discussion about what may take its place. While some would like to see some type of upscale grocery, there are others that are concerned that this has been a loss for some of the low-income, elderly and handicapped residents who live in the high rise nearby. To that end, there will be a meeting Thursday evening, January 9, at 7PM, at The Haro Group of Keller Williams Realty. 314 Lloyd St, Greenville 29601. No sign out front. Building looks like a castle. Park in the street or in the empty lot across from the building. Haro and Mariam Setian graciously provided the space.
According to Amy Doyle, the city is actively pursuing grocers for several locations downtown. This meeting will be to discuss options and to brainstorm possibilities. There will be several representatives from the City at this meeting. It is open to anyone who has an interest in what happens to this property.
