April 28 – North Main Community Spring Yard Sale. Northgate Soda Shop. 7am – 1pm. Start your spring cleaning now! No cost to you, first come….first selection on the parking lot behind the SS /OS. Sell what you can, keep the money for yourself and if you have anything left that you do not want, they will collect it and take it to a charity. Last year they delivered to 3 different charities.
April 28 – Project Rx: A River Remedy. 10am – 2pm. McAlister Square. Project Rx provides the Upstate with a FREE and SAFE way to dispose of unwanted prescription and overt-the-counter medications with law enforcement, protecting our rivers and residents. Look in your medicine cabinets, and gather all of your household unwanted or expired prescriptions or over-the-counter (OTC) medications, this includes liquids and pet’s medications. 864-299-4000.
April 28 – Safe Harbor 5K Run. Packet pick-up will be available at Fleet Feet Sports, 1708 Augusta Street, on Friday, April 27, from 12pm until 8pm. Race Day Registration will begin at the playground entrance of Fluor Field at 7:30am on Saturday, April 28.
April 28 – March of Dimes March for Babies. 8am – 12noon. CU-ICAR. Walk Distance 4.5 miles. 864.551.2640.
May 2 – Blood Drive. The Bloodmobile will be at Northside United Methodist Church, 435 Summit Drive from 5-8pm. All donors will get a T-shirt. Church supper that night will be pulled-pork BBQ with sides and dessert. Meals are $5 for blood donors $6 for other adults and $3 for children. Carry-out available.
