One of our members, Patti Crawford, is on the committee for Greenville Organic Food Organization Urban Farm Tour. The Urban Farm Tour is a one day venue (Saturday, October 26, 2013) for the Greenville community to see local food systems that are healthy, safer and economically viable. The 2013 Urban Farm Tour will feature at least 20-25 tour sites which are all wonderful models of sustainability. The UFT will also provide several complimentary workshops at the GOFO office during the day of the tour designed to jump-start those attending the UFT to start their very own urban farm or feed their curiosity.
GOFO Urban Farm Tours needs at least 2 or 3 more tour sites in the North Main area. Those interested site owners will not be automatically accepted as a tour, but would be visited by two of the GOFO UFT committee members. There is no cost for tour site owner; however, there are several criteria of which the tour site must meet to be accepted by the GOFO UFT committee.
