The Greenville Fire Department will offer hands-only CPR training on March 29th from 10:30 – 12pm at the Bobby Pearse Community Center. This class is free and lasts one hour.
Hands-only CPR, which is used on teenagers and adults, has been shown to be as effective as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest at home, at work or in public and can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival. The training is taught by GCFD personnel using CPR training manikins.
I have personally participated in this training, and it was probably the best CPR training I’ve ever received! I encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. Even if you’ve had CPR training in the past, a review never hurts.
They will also offer free fire safety training on March 31st at the Bobby Pearse Community Center from 10:30 – 12pm.
