One of our residents wanted to give the neighborhood a heads up. Last night around 9:45 he had just returned home to Garraux St when he noticed there was a person by his neighbor’s driveway (North Gate Terrace Townhomes) so he called out but it turned out not to be the neighbor but a suspicious African American male who said his friends had left him at the “apartments” and he needed to get to Rutherford road. He then approached the resident, trying to get into the back of his truck telling him he needed a ride. After repeatedly telling him no and giving him directions, the suspect finally left and walked to Main St. where he turned the towards Stone, not towards Rutherford. The police were called and they caught up with him at Horizon Records. The officer said the individual had a long record of theft and breaking and entering and he only had a screw driver on his person. He also mentioned there were 4 cars broken into on Hillcrest earlier this week.
