Don’t forget to take advantage of the City’s Electronics Recycling Day. While it’s easy to just throw old bulbs and small electronic items in the trash, this is not the environmentally friendly way to dispose of these. This event is only held twice each year! Can’t make it during these times? See if a neighbor is going and combine your items; however, note the limit. The collection center will be at 360 S. Hudson Street. Free to City residents and businesses, the following items are accepted: computer monitors, keyboards, mice, CPUs, etc. (all things that plug into a computer), televisions, fluorescent bulbs, tubes, ballasts, etc. Items may be brought to 360 S. Hudson Street from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Note: There is a limit of 10 electronic items and 10 fluorescent bulbs per person. For more information, call 864-467-8300.
