The City’s Planning and Development Division will host a public open house to present an update to Plan-It Greenville, the City’s long-range comprehensive plan for future growth. It will be held on October 28, 5:30 pm, at the Hughes Main Library. Adopted in 2009, the plan must be reviewed and updated every five years. The 2014 update involves new communitywide information, including data from the 2010 Census, a status report for the implementation strategies of the plan, and revisions to the Future Land Use Map. Following a presentation by City staff, attendees will have an opportunity to view the information, ask questions and provide input.
This is an important meeting as it will tell us how well the current plan is working and give us a chance to make comments and suggestions for improvement.
