Monday, March 11, at 6pm in Fellowship Hall, they will hold an informational meeting on Defenders for Children. A speaker from Defenders for Children, a grass-roots, non-profit organization founded in Greenville in 2010 will discuss their vision is to “prevent child abuse which will improve the lives of children and break the cycle of abuse through awareness and education”. The speaker will be accompanied by Queque. an electronic detection K9 officer with the Greenville County Sheriff’s department and together they will demonstrate how they find electronic evidence that helps identify and rescue victimized children and adults. K9 officers like Queque are also used for therapy.
Also, don’t forget about the March 30 Golf Tournament at Legacy Pines. Proceeds support the after-school program at “A House on Beekman”, a year-round program in the Bronx, NY, for underprivileged children. See attached flyer.
