We are looking for people to work right in the neighborhoods where they live, and I think that once people know more about the jobs available with Census 2010, we will have a strong turnout for our tests. Also, if you know of a group of people that would like to take the test together, I can set up a session just for them. Just let me know.

Good-paying jobs available
At a time when a lot of people are looking for ways to make an extra buck, the U.S. Census Bureau is getting ready to hire thousands of workers across the state. The 2010 Census is coming up, and there are jobs available throughout Greenville, including the North Main and East Park neighborhoods.
Most census-takers go door to door in their own neighborhoods. They work flexible schedules of 20-40 hours per week. Some field workers make more than $13 per hour.
Pre-employment screening tests are coming up soon in the following locations:
- Tuesday, December 22, at 5:30 p.m. at Bobby Pearse Center (904 Townes Street).
- Wednesday, December 30, at 10 a.m. at Congregation Beth Israel (425 Summit Drive).
- Thursday, January 7, at 10 a.m. Congregation Beth Israel (425 Summit Drive).
