The Planning Commission did NOT approve the request for subdivision application Thursday evening. They requested the application be tabled to the August Planning Commission meeting. Several recommendations were made to the developer: no circular drive, reduce number of lots, and no garages on the front. An informal meeting with the developer will be scheduled with city planning staff. (Amy Doyle)
According to one resident who was in attendance, most of the board members who spoke did not like the lack of good planning about storm water runoff, the private drive, the number of houses and the front facing garages. One board member reportedly made several points against the project and wanted to vote it down immediately. It seems that the city is actually listening to residents and trying to reach a compromise that will satisfy all.
