Wednesday’s Candidate Forum and August 11 Primary

Reminder:  Come and meet the candidates face-to-face and hear their views on topics important to you.  This Wednesday, July 22, at Stone Academy, NMCA is holding a City Council Candidate Forum.  Meet-and-greet reception from 6-7pm.  Forum begins at 7pm.  NMCA conducted a survey of its membership to determine the subject matter of the questions.  All five candidates in the August 11 primary will be present.   Presented by the Greenville News, the forum is sponsored by the Coca Cola Company and the SC Beverage Association will provide soft drinks.  It will be streamed live at GreenvilleOnline.com and will be posted to the website for later viewing.

PLEASE NOTE!  The August 11 primary is particularly important because it is basically THE ONLY election for these seats…there is NO opposition to the winner of this primary in November.  AND…the primary is open, so anyone who is registered can vote, regardless of party affiliation!  This makes it doubly important that you GET OUT AND VOTE!  As was stated in a guest column in the Greenville News on Sunday, August 11 is Greenville’s chance to once again decide “where it should go, and by what route, and how fast.”
