Morgan’s 6th Annual Hope for a Cure

EmilyThe daughter of one of members has participated in “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” for 6 years now, helping the Foundation raise funds to find a cure for all childhood cancers.  Morgan McClain, a 4th grader at Stone Academy is part of National Lemonade Days (June 6-8).  When founder Alex Scott (1996-2004) issued her challenge to the nation 10 years ago, all 50 states participated. Now events all being held all over the country this weekend. Morgan’s goal this year is $800. Her event will be held this Saturday, June 7, from 11am – 2pm at 314 W. Stone Avenue (He and Me Hair Salon). You can stop by for a class of lemonade and donate or donate online at http://alexslemonade.org/mypage/1115248 or text LEMONADE “E1115248” to 85944. Come on North Main…let’s show our support for this important cause by helping Morgan meet her goal!  Curing cancer one cup at a time.

Local artists will also be selling works with some proceeds going towards the Foundation.
